Background

Growing up in a creative family, I've always had a desire to 'make things'. Tinkering in the workshop has been part of my life as long as I can remember. Though my tertiary training was in photography, there was a continued interest in wood working.

There was also a latent interest in harps. Whether it was my father's Patrick Ball or Alan Stivell albums, or listening to Debussey, Handel, Mozart or even Harpo Marx; there was just something about the harp. In 2007 I finally decided to pursue this interest, and bought a small kit harp - I had just as much fun making it as I did playing it! Thus began my journey of designing, making and playing harps.
